In the past, the Indonesian government had set a medium-term target to increase the country’s power generation capacity. This creates a valuable opportunity for Duta Anggada and was in line with its strategy to build up on power plant development in Indonesia to help build our nation. It participated in a number of tenders for the procurement of power supply purchase relating to mine-mouth power plants. Open tenders apply to coal-fired power plants, which process includes pre-qualification process and tender process. The government opened the opportunity to have the electric power business
developed by private entities, established the basic framework for private participation in the electric power business and given the opportunity to supply electric power in Indonesia.
Sumbagsel-1 2x150 MW Mine Mouth Coal Fired Power Plant – PT Duta Energy Mineratama
Together with its partner, Taicang Harbour Golden Concord Electric-Power Generation Co. Ltd., Duta
Anggada group through PT Duta Energy Mineratama participated in the pre-qualification process of the
procurement of 2x150 MW Sumbagsel-1 Mine Mouth Coal Fired Power Plant. The consortium was declared a qualified applicant and moved further to participate in the tender process and submitted Request for Proposal. The tender process of Sumbagsel-1 was later completed. All in all, the participation of the IUP of PT Duta Energy Mineratama showed that the concession was viable for power generation opportunities.
Sumsel-10 1x600 MW Mine Mouth Coal Fired Power Plant – PT Duta Bara Utama
With a different partner, China Shenhua Energy Company Limited, Duta Anggada group through PT Duta Bara Utama also participated in the pre-qualification process of Sumsel-10 1x600 MW Mine Mouth Coal Fired Power Plant and was declared as qualified applicant for the tender process. PT Duta Bara Utama completed its preparation for the submission of Request for Proposal. Again, the participation of PT Duta Bara Utama showed the viability of its concession.
